With 20 years behind the chair, Michael specializes in customized hair color, dimensional highlighting, modern blonding, transformations and precision haircutting. As Owner and Creative Director of Michael Richard Salon, he combines years of experience, advanced education and a detailed consultation process to create hair that complements each guest’s lifestyle, maintenance goals and personal style.

Michael divides his time between working behind the chair and operating, developing and leading Michael Richard Salon. With only three days each week dedicated to salon guests, his appointment availability is limited and his schedule tends to fill quickly. Guests are encouraged to plan ahead and pre-book their maintenance appointments to secure their preferred dates.

Outside of his time behind the chair, Michael focuses on the continued growth of Michael Richard Salon, developing the salon’s education and training systems, mentoring the next generation of stylists and creating an elevated experience for both guests and the salon team.

Michael is especially passionate about transformations and creating a complete look—from customized color and highlighting to the haircut, maintenance plan and finished style.

Tanner brings extensive experience, advanced education and a strong technical eye to every guest experience at Michael Richard Salon. As both a Master Stylist and Salon Manager, he plays an important role not only behind the chair, but also in supporting the continued growth and development of our salon team.

With an extensive background in advanced education, including Toni & Guy training, Tanner has developed a strong understanding of color theory, formulation, placement and customized color. As one of Michael Richard Salon’s Color Educators, he helps guide and educate our developing stylists in color formulation, technique and creating consistent results.

Behind the chair, Tanner focuses on creating customized looks based on each guest’s hair, lifestyle and maintenance goals. His experience allows him to confidently work with everything from dimensional color and highlighting to gray coverage, transformations and precision haircutting.

Tanner is a great fit for guests who appreciate a knowledgeable, experienced stylist who will take the time to understand their goals while creating a realistic plan for maintaining their look between visits.
