With over 18 years of experience, Michael “Mike” Alvarado is the Owner and Creative Director of Michael Richard Salon, a luxury Aveda salon in Kingwood, Texas. Mike specializes in custom haircuts, dimensional highlights, balayage, blonde services, and luxury hair extensions, creating personalized looks for every guest.

As a salon leader and educator, Mike is passionate about training his team through advanced education and maintaining the high standards that make Michael Richard Salon one of the highest-rated hair salons in the Kingwood and Houston area.

Meet Tanner

Tanner is a master of modern haircuts, fashion color, edgy styles,  balayage, and dimensional highlights. With advanced expertise in both men’s and women’s styles—from long, flowing layers to precision bobs—he brings a seamless blend of creativity and technical skill to every guest experience.

Originally from Arizona, Tanner spent nearly a decade with Toni & Guy salons, honing his craft and gaining invaluable industry experience across multiple states. His passion for education and precision artistry makes him a standout on the Michael Richard Salon team, delivering effortlessly beautiful results tailored to each client.

As Salon Manager, Tanner also brings strong leadership and a passion for exceptional guest experiences.

As a Level 5 Stylist, she specializes in all modern haircutting services and is especially passionate about transformation highlight services. Known for her personalized approach, Brendaly expertly formulates custom color that enhances your features and fits your lifestyle. Whether you’re looking for a fresh new look or subtle refinement, you’re in trusted hands with Brendaly.

Meet Nani – Stylist Level 4

Originally from New York, Nani has been a part of the Michael Richard Salon team for 2 years and brings incredible talent, creativity, and energy to the salon. She specializes in lived-in highlights, custom vivid colors, and modern haircuts—including shags, layers, and curly hair designs.

Nani loves connecting with her guests and takes the time to teach them how to care for and style their hair at home. Her goal is to make every client feel confident, empowered, and completely in love with their look.

Meet Cooper –

Cooper is one of our rising stars at Michael Richard Salon! She has a natural gift for hair and a quick eye for technique—learn it once, and she makes it her own. Cooper customizes every service to fit her guests, blending creativity with precision.

She shines when working with long hair, expertly creating layers, shape, and movement, and she’s quickly building a name for herself with her beautiful highlighting work. Cooper also brings high energy and fun to the salon—often singing and dancing her way through the day and keeping everyone smiling.

Meet Yahaira

With over six years of experience in the hair industry, Yahaira specializes in precision haircutting, focusing on creating layers and movement that beautifully enhance each guest’s natural look. Her passion for color is reflected in her soft, lived-in styles — such as balayage — designed to complement every individual’s features and lifestyle.

Yahaira is also known for delivering exceptional blowouts that leave her guests feeling confident and refreshed. As a full-time stylist at Michael Richard Salon, she looks forward to welcoming you to her chair and helping you achieve your desired style.

Meet Sami – Co-Stylist

Sami is our newest Fresh Talent Stylist at Michael Richard Salon and works as a Co-Stylist alongside Creative Director Michael. She is currently training through our in-salon education program while gaining hands-on experience assisting with guests.

During appointments, you may see Sami applying color, shampooing, blow-drying, and assisting Michael throughout the service experience. Her passion for learning and attention to detail make her a wonderful part of the Michael Richard Salon team.

Meet Lauren – Guest Care Assistant

Lauren is our Guest Care Assistant at Michael Richard Salon and is often the first and last person you see when visiting our salon. She helps create a welcoming experience for every guest while managing appointments, schedules, phone calls, and text communications.

Lauren plays an important role in keeping our stylists’ schedules organized and ensuring every guest’s visit runs smoothly. She is currently beginning her journey in the beauty industry and plans to enroll in cosmetology school soon to pursue her dream of becoming a hairstylist.
