Salon Policies & Guest Guidelines

At Michael Richard Salon, our goal is to provide every guest with an exceptional, customized salon experience. Our policies are designed to protect the time of our guests and service providers while allowing our team to provide the level of service you expect from us.

By scheduling an appointment with Michael Richard Salon, you acknowledge and agree to the following policies.

APPOINTMENT REQUESTS & ONLINE BOOKING

Online appointments are submitted as appointment requests and are not considered confirmed until approved by our Guest Care Team.

New guests requesting color, highlighting, extensions, corrective color, or transformation services may be asked to complete a consultation and provide current photos of their hair before an appointment is approved.

This allows our team to recommend the appropriate service, stylist level, timing, maintenance plan, and estimated investment.

OUR LEVEL SYSTEM

Michael Richard Salon offers multiple stylist levels to accommodate different experience preferences and budgets.

Our pricing varies based on the stylist’s level, experience, demand, education, and expertise.

Our New Talent and developing stylists have completed required phases of the Michael Richard Salon training program and continue to receive education and support from our leadership and education team.

NEW GUEST DEPOSITS

A $100 non-refundable deposit is required for new color and highlighting appointments when applicable.

Your deposit is applied toward your scheduled service.

Deposits are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to a different appointment date once the appointment has been reserved. However, the deposit may be transferred to another person.

Additional deposits may be required for specialty services, extensions, transformations, or appointments requiring an extended amount of time.

APPOINTMENT CONFIRMATIONS

Appointment confirmations are sent prior to your scheduled visit.

Appointments must be confirmed at least 48 hours before the scheduled appointment.

Appointments that remain unconfirmed may be canceled 24 hours prior to the appointment so that we have an opportunity to accommodate another guest.

Please make sure the phone number and contact information on your account are current.

CANCELLATIONS & RESCHEDULING

We understand that schedules change. We kindly ask that you provide at least 48 hours’ notice when canceling or rescheduling an appointment.

Appointments canceled or rescheduled within 48 hours may be subject to a charge of 50% of the scheduled service total.

A valid card may be required to remain on file for future reservations.

NO-SHOW APPOINTMENTS

Guests who do not arrive for their scheduled appointment and do not provide notice may be charged 100% of the scheduled service total.

Future appointments may require prepayment or an additional deposit before another reservation can be made.

VIP GUEST CANCELLATION BENEFIT

Guests who have earned VIP Guest status receive an exclusive 24-hour cancellation policy instead of our standard 48-hour requirement.

VIP status and benefits remain subject to the requirements of the Michael Richard Salon VIP Guest Program.

LATE ARRIVALS

Please arrive on time for your reservation.

Arriving late may limit the services we are able to complete while respecting the appointments scheduled after yours.

Depending on the amount of time remaining, we may need to modify, shorten, or reschedule your service. Applicable cancellation or rescheduling charges may apply.

SERVICE ADJUSTMENTS & OUR 3-DAY GUARANTEE

Your satisfaction is extremely important to us.

If you have a concern with your service, please contact Michael Richard Salon within 3 business days of your original appointment.

When appropriate, we will schedule a service adjustment within one week of the original service.

Service adjustments are intended to address the original consultation and agreed-upon result. Requests to change the original color, haircut, length, tone, or overall desired result may be considered a new service and may result in additional charges.

Because we want the opportunity to personally evaluate and correct any concern, services altered by another salon or stylist after your appointment may no longer qualify for a complimentary adjustment.

SERVICE REFUNDS

Salon services are customized, time-based professional services. For this reason, completed services are non-refundable.

If you are unhappy with your result, please contact us within our 3-business-day service guarantee period so our team has the opportunity to evaluate the service and determine an appropriate adjustment.

COLOR & HIGHLIGHT RESULTS

Hair color results are influenced by your starting color, previous chemical services, hair integrity, home color, mineral buildup, medications, maintenance history, and other factors.

In some cases, achieving your desired result safely may require multiple appointments.

Our priority is maintaining the integrity of your hair while working toward your desired result.

PRICING & ADDITIONAL PRODUCT

Prices listed on our website are starting prices and may vary depending on stylist level, hair length, density, service complexity, time required, and the amount of professional product necessary to complete the service.

Additional color or product required beyond the standard amount included with a service may result in an additional product charge.

Your stylist will discuss recommendations whenever possible during your consultation.

MAINTENANCE PRICING

Certain services qualify for special maintenance pricing when they are performed within the recommended maintenance schedule.

Maintenance pricing is based on the amount of regrowth, product, time, and work normally required within that timeframe.

Guests returning outside the designated maintenance period may need to book a New Guest, Retouch, Extended Maintenance, or Transformation service depending on the amount of work required.

EXTENSIONS

Hair extensions require professional maintenance and proper home care.

Guests are responsible for following the maintenance schedule and home-care recommendations provided by their stylist.

Extension hair and special-order products may require payment in advance and may be non-refundable once ordered or purchased.

Failure to maintain extensions within the recommended timeframe may affect the condition of the extensions and natural hair and may require additional service time or charges.

CHILDREN IN THE SALON

For the comfort and safety of our guests and team, children are permitted in the salon only when they are receiving a scheduled service.

We appreciate your understanding in helping us maintain a relaxing and professional environment.

PERSONAL BELONGINGS

Please keep personal belongings with you during your visit. Michael Richard Salon is not responsible for lost, damaged, or unattended personal property.

RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE

Michael Richard Salon reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service when necessary, including situations involving inappropriate, threatening, abusive, discriminatory, or unsafe behavior toward our team or other guests.

POLICY ACKNOWLEDGMENT

By booking and maintaining an appointment with Michael Richard Salon, you acknowledge that you have reviewed and agree to our salon policies.

Policies, pricing, services, and program benefits are subject to change as our salon continues to evolve.
