From New Talent to Master Stylist, each level represents advanced training, mentorship, and technical mastery. CO-STYLISTS
STYLIST LEVEL 1
STYLIST LEVEL 1
Our Co-Stylists are licensed cosmetologists who are either new to the Michael Richard Salon team or beginning their professional careers. This training level is designed to build confidence, consistency, and technical excellence before advancing to Level One.
Throughout this phase, Co-Stylists participate in an intensive education program focused on:
- Long layered haircutting
- Traditional highlighting
- Modern highlighting and balayage techniques
- Base color applications
- Professional blowouts and finishing techniques
- Guest consultations and salon experience
Training includes extensive hands-on practice with both live models and mannequins, allowing each stylist to refine their technical skills while developing speed, precision, and consistency.
Every Co-Stylist must successfully complete a series of practical exams and technical certifications before earning promotion to Level One Stylist.
In addition to their education, Co-Stylists work alongside our Creative Director, Salon Manager, and Salon Educators throughout the salon. They assist with color applications, shampoo rituals, blow-drying, styling, and supporting our experienced stylists to ensure every guest receives an exceptional salon experience.

STYLIST LEVEL 1

STYLIST LEVEL 1
Our Level One Stylists have successfully completed the Michael Richard Salon Co-Stylist Education Program and have demonstrated their technical skills through extensive hands-on training with live models under the guidance of our Creative Director and Salon Education Team.
At this level, stylists are certified to perform a variety of services, including;
• Long layered harcuts
- Base color and gray coverage
- Traditional highlights
- Balayage and modern highlighting techniques
- Blowouts and professional styling services
As part of their continued professional development, Level One Stylists are in Phase Two of our advanced education program, where they continue mastering advanced haircutting, highlighting placement, formulation, and guest consultations.
To ensure exceptional results, every color formulation and highlighting plan is reviewed with one of our experienced Salon Educators or Leadership Team. This collaborative approach gives our guests the confidence of receiving personalized recommendations backed by multiple professional opinions.
Because education is a priority at this level, appointments may require a little extra time as our stylists focus on precision, technique, and creating beautiful, lasting results.

Our Level Two Stylists have successfully completed the Michael Richard Salon Level One Development Program or have joined our salon with previous professional salon experience. They have demonstrated strong technical abilities, a commitment to continued education, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
At this level, stylists are highly proficient in:
- Base color and gray coverage
- Traditional highlighting
- Balayage and modern highlighting techniques
- Precision haircutting
- Professional styling and finishing services
Level Two Stylists have completed advanced education through our in-house training program and continue refining their artistry through ongoing education and hands-on experience. They are confident in conducting thorough consultations, creating customized color formulations, and designing personalized service plans tailored to each guest’s lifestyle, maintenance preferences, and hair goals.
These stylists are building a loyal clientele by consistently delivering beautiful results, personalized recommendations, and an elevated salon experience from consultation to finish.

Level 3 Stylists come with more more experience in a salon setting. This level of stylist can perform services in the salon in a timely fashion while providing superior service. Level 3 Stylist have undergone extensive training and many hours of continuing education to stay up to date on all new trends and techniques. They are masters at advanced services such as haircutting, balayage, all highlighting techniques and color correction services. Level three stylist also come with a price increase due to excessive training and expertise.

Level 4 Stylists are Master Stylists. They are established, respected, and carry a reputation for excellence that has earned them this title. Level 4 Stylists are over 90% booked. This level of Stylists has years of advanced education and highest demand for their services. At this stage, level 4 stylist begin taking part in mentoring Junior Stylists through Level 2. Booking in advanced is highly recommended.

Level 5 Stylist are Master Stylists, they have also been with our salon for a long time where they have built strong relations with their guests. They also hold 95% business retention rate and are usually booked 100% of their scheduled time. They hold the same level of expertise as our creative director and also mentor our newest Stylist. Their prices are a little higher because of their experience in all aspects of hair!

The owner of Michael Richard Salon is big on education and staying up to date with modern services. Creating new haircutting, coloring, and highlighting techniques so that all of our salon stylists keep up with the latest trends. Our team actively meets every Tuesday morning so that our stylists continue to succeed in their field, bringing the best of the best techniques for each guests who enters our salon. Michael Richard also well known as Mike, is committed to continuing his education throughout the year so that he may bring back his knowledge to his team. Mike spends numerous hours a week training with our staff. He believes in communication of what to expect, when to expect it, how to maintain it, and building relationships with our guests,
